Amit Sadh and Esha Deol's PRATAP releases the track Mai Vapas Aaunga, foregrounding love and a promise of return before its November 20 opening.

Pratap's Mai Vapas Aaunga lands before November 20

Sixteen days before PRATAP opens in cinemas, the film’s campaign has turned from action to emotion. The new track “Mai Vapas Aaunga” arrived on November 4, with vocals by Shashwat Singh and Pratigya and music by Afzalali. Its central idea is a promise of return, and it gives the film’s personal relationships a place alongside its cop-thriller premise.

The song inside the story

Written and directed by Sachin Saraf, PRATAP follows Pratap Ranade, played by Amit Sadh, a decorated encounter specialist whose life takes an unexpected turn when he lands behind bars. Esha Deol, Seema Biswas, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Milind Gunaji appear in pivotal roles. Produced by Pradeep Rangwani under UV Films, the film is built around duty, loyalty, choices and accountability.

“Mai Vapas Aaunga” translates in spirit to a promise of return. The track moves through love, memories, longing and hope. Amit Sadh said the song captures an emotion that is “deeply personal and universal at the same time,” and that it brings out “a softer, more emotional side of PRATAP.”

Shashwat Singh, one of the track’s vocalists, said he wanted the singing to carry “that sense of longing and warmth,” so that listeners can connect with the emotion in their own way.

Why the soft note matters

For a film whose logline is about an encounter specialist facing a life behind bars, a promise-of-return song changes the emphasis. It does not replace the drama’s procedural spine; it adds a second layer. The audience is now being asked to care about what the character hopes to return to, not only about what he has lost.

That is a familiar but effective pre-release move: the song becomes an emotional trailer, and the release date becomes the payoff. The takeaway for a film campaign is simple: a promise-driven track can widen a hard-edged pitch without changing the plot.

The essentials

  • Song: “Mai Vapas Aaunga” — vocals by Shashwat Singh and Pratigya, music by Afzalali.
  • Cast: Amit Sadh, Esha Deol, Seema Biswas, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Milind Gunaji.
  • Writer-director: Sachin Saraf.
  • Producer: Pradeep Rangwani, under UV Films.
  • Release: In cinemas on November 20, 2026.

The road ahead

The latest song may be the film’s final emotional signal before release. Whether it expands the audience, or simply offers a softer beat in a harder story, will become clear as the campaign moves toward November 20. The promise has been made; the film now has to keep it.
