Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 reaches its release day with ₹96.56 crore already banked in five-day advance bookings across India, including blocked seats, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The film opens in cinemas on November 5.
Without blocked seats, the advance total stands at ₹77.31 crore. That is the more conservative floor the trade will watch as spot bookings begin.
Day-wise advance sales
Opening-day demand has set the pace, while the remaining four days show how the long-weekend base is building. The figures below include blocked seats.
- Day 1: ₹39.35 crore from 10.11 lakh tickets across 23,671 shows
- Day 2: ₹18.53 crore from 4.85 lakh tickets across 18,416 shows
- Day 3: ₹19.68 crore from 4.98 lakh tickets across 17,765 shows
- Day 4: ₹13.23 crore from 3.81 lakh tickets across 15,706 shows
- Day 5: ₹5.78 crore from 1.90 lakh tickets across 7,473 shows
The first day alone carries the largest share of the advance—a familiar pattern for event films where committed audiences lock the premiere date early and the rest of the sales build the weekend base.
Hindi is carrying the advance
Hindi markets account for ₹78.88 crore, or about 82% of the total pre-sales. The city split shows NCR leading with ₹13.33 crore, followed by Mumbai at ₹11.90 crore and Bengaluru at ₹9.96 crore; Hyderabad and Pune have recorded ₹5.83 crore and ₹4.06 crore respectively.
After Hindi, Telugu has contributed ₹8.09 crore and Kannada ₹7.27 crore. Tamil advance bookings stand at ₹1.84 crore, while Malayalam has recorded ₹49.23 lakh. Across languages, 25.65 lakh tickets have been sold; 20.57 lakh of those are outside blocked seats.
Why the milestone matters
For a film of this scale, nearing the ₹100-crore advance mark before the first show signals how widely the release has been planned and how strongly the Hindi audience has committed early. The gap between the ₹96.56 crore figure with blocked seats and the ₹77.31 crore figure without them frames the opening-day conversation: the real test is how much reserved inventory converts once counters open on November 5.
The language split has a practical consequence for exhibitors. With Hindi contributing about 82% of the advance, Hindi-screen allocations are likely to stay the priority through the first weekend, while the South language versions will be judged on spot momentum in their home markets.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part 1 stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Arun Govil in the ensemble.
