Sai Pallavi's Sita fronts a new Ramayana character promo days before the two-part epic opens worldwide on November 5 in five languages.

Sai Pallavi's Sita fronts final Ramayana promo before Nov 5

Three days before Ramayana arrives in cinemas, its makers have shifted the final round of promotion toward one figure: Sita. A new character promo places Sai Pallavi at the centre of the campaign, moving between the princess of Mithila in her royal setting and imagery that ties her to the earth and to Lord Rama.

The promo is built around two phrases, “Daughter of the Earth” and “Bound by Love.” On social media, the makers expanded that framing, writing: “Daughter of the Earth, princess of Mithila. Bound by love, guided by Dharma. Sai Pallavi as Sita.” The clip foregrounds devotion, love and Dharma as the values that will carry Sita’s journey.

Why the Sita reveal matters more than a last-minute teaser

With release so close, a character-focused promo is a deliberate choice. It frames the film not only as an event built on scale and star power but as a story that lives through its central relationships. Sai Pallavi, known for her work across Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, now carries the female lead in an ambitious two-part adaptation.

Nitesh Tiwari directs the two-part adaptation, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The first instalment opens worldwide on November 5, 2026.

Release plan

  • First part: November 5, 2026, worldwide
  • Second part: Diwali 2027
  • Languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam
  • Formats: IMAX and other premium theatrical formats
  • Distribution: Sony Pictures outside India; Dharma Productions for the Hindi-speaking market

Character-led promos have become a way for event films to give a crowded cast a single emotional entry point. By releasing a Sita-focused piece days before opening, Ramayana is signalling that its version of the epic will treat Sita’s choices as a load-bearing part of the narrative, not a subplot.

The film is produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. For audiences who have followed the Ramayana across decades of Indian cinema, each adaptation asks what it will restore, compress or re-emphasise. Here, the final pre-release emphasis is unmistakably on Sita’s interior world.

With part two already dated for Diwali 2027, the promotional architecture is long. What opens in a few days is being sold not as a complete conclusion but as the first movement of a two-part retelling.
