Stanley Kubrick was an American movie director, producer, screenwriter, and photographer who was born on July 26, 1928. He is frequently referred to as one of cinema’s greatest directors.
Kubrick gained knowledge of literary translation into a visual world, typically arranging his films into discrete acts because practically all of his films are adaptations of books. He is known for lengthening passages and slowing down the pace of the movie to heighten emotion and suspense in the plot. Warner Bros. is a studio that produces movies.

MGM gave him his first major break in 1956, when they offered him $75,000 to write, produce, and direct a film that would become Paths of Glory (1957). He and producer James B. Harris persuaded Kirk Douglas to portray the lead, and the picture went on to be a commercial success, allowing Stanley Kubrick to enter the elite Hollywood system.
