Jordan is based on Imtiaz’s Jat friend who resided in Pritampura’s tiny village. “Jordan’s character is like a falcon because of his sturdiness and restlessness,” Imtiaz explains. Rockstar is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film by Imtiaz Ali and produced by previous Eros International head Sunil Lulla and Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited president Dhilin Mehta, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri and featuring music by A. R. Rahman.

On November 11th, 2011, Rockstar was released. It was one of the year’s highest-grossing films, and it managed to appeal to the city’s youth.

Rockstar grossed Rupees 1.08 billion (US$14 million) globally on a budget of Rupees 410 million (US$5.4 million). The film’s soundtrack is sometimes referred to as the best music album of the decade. For their roles in the film, Kapoor and Rahman garnered various accolades. The picture has developed a cult following over the years.
