Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer found fresh momentum on its second Saturday, collecting Rs 4 crore net in India on October 31. The spy comedy rose 40.4% from the Rs 2.85 crore net it earned on the second Friday, according to figures compiled by The Times of India.
The second-weekend arithmetic
The two-day second-week India total now stands at Rs 6.85 crore net and Rs 8.17 crore gross. The opening week had contributed Rs 30.90 crore net and Rs 36.86 crore gross. After the weekend’s gains, the domestic net collection is Rs 37.75 crore and the India gross is Rs 45.03 crore.

Why the Saturday upswing matters
A 40.4% second-Saturday rise after a Friday dip is a classic early sign of word of mouth. It usually means the film is not being carried only by opening-day fans; casual viewers are beginning to respond. For a theatrical release, this is the kind of recovery that can help it hold screens into a third week.
The lighter spy pitch gives Udta Teer room to court that broader family and comedy audience. Khurrana plays Bilal Ahmad, also known as Vikrant, a Pakistani operative who infiltrates India’s fictional Counter Terrorism Squad. Memory loss leaves him convinced he is a patriotic Indian intelligence officer, and the covert mission turns into comic confusion. Sara Ali Khan appears as Yamini, with Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover and Mukul Dev in supporting roles.
Sunday is the next test
Sunday’s collection will show whether Saturday’s momentum continues or levels off. A further increase would strengthen the second-weekend total; a flat number would still leave the film in a better position than Friday suggested. The result is likely to shape how many shows the film retains next week.
Early demand is already visible at the ticket window. By 5 am IST on November 1, advance bookings for Day 11 stood at 44,327 tickets, worth Rs 77.61 lakh. That is not a guarantee of a big Sunday, but it is a useful leading indicator of committed audience interest.
The box office story is now simple: Udta Teer has crossed Rs 55.53 crore worldwide, and the quality of its second-weekend hold will decide whether the film can climb substantially higher from here.
