Ramayana Part One is seventh for 2026 with ₹182.70 cr net

Ramayana Part One has moved to seventh among the biggest Hindi releases of 2026 after a Saturday recovery at the ticket window, according to early estimates from tracker Sacnilk cited by Mint.

Saturday’s rebound

The Nitesh Tiwari directorial collected an estimated ₹69.80 crore net on day three across 23,647 shows as of 10 pm, a 45.3% jump from Friday’s ₹48.05 crore. The numbers are live estimates and can shift once night shows are reconciled.

Those numbers take the three-day India net to ₹182.70 crore and the India gross to ₹218.25 crore. Overseas, an estimated ₹60 crore on Saturday pushed the overseas gross to ₹157.25 crore, leaving the worldwide gross at ₹375.50 crore after three days. Around 69.88 lakh tickets have been sold in India so far.

Language share and occupancy

Hindi remains the centre of gravity. The version contributed ₹53 crore of Saturday’s India business, followed by Kannada at ₹6.30 crore, Telugu at ₹6 crore, Tamil at ₹2.50 crore and Malayalam at ₹2 crore. Hindi accounts for 74.4% of total India net collections.

Occupancy tells a more granular story:

  • Malayalam: 82% from 591 shows
  • Tamil: 77.5% from 681 shows
  • Kannada: 65.5% from 907 shows
  • Telugu: 56.4% from 1,586 shows
  • Hindi: 35.3% from 19,882 shows

Across all versions, the average was ₹29,517 per show on Saturday.

The 2026 leaderboard

The film entered the top 10 in two days and now sits seventh. It has crossed Dhamaal 4 (₹177.92 crore), Awarapan 2 (₹156.12 crore) and Welcome To The Jungle (₹137.93 crore), but remains behind Bhooth Bangla at ₹199.23 crore.

Higher up, the year is defined by big holds: Dhurandhar 2 leads with ₹1,186.32 crore, followed by Drishyam 3 at ₹379.70 crore, Border 2 at ₹362.76 crore, Hanuman Ansh at ₹343.11 crore and Mirzapur The Movie at ₹233.73 crore.

A long-recovery wager

The three-day trajectory is instructive. After a ₹64.85 crore net opening on Thursday across 25,200 shows, Friday dipped 25.9% to ₹48.05 crore. Saturday’s 45.3% recovery has put the film back above its opening-day run rate before Diwali.

Still, the reported ₹4,000-crore budget for the two-part epic makes this less a sprint than a test of staying power. With Hindi occupancy at 35.3% across a vast 19,882 shows, the post-Diwali family audience remains the decisive variable.
