BTS: ‘Dynamite’ becomes the second song in Oricon history to achieve THIS

Pop disco hit track ‘Dynamite’ by BTS is one of the songs that made to latest list On December 29 by Oricon.  Oricon Inc. is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group.  The company supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music.

Recently, the company released its weekly Streaming Chart.  The tracking period took place from December 20 to 26.. In the latest weekly rankings, ‘Dynamite‘ ranked number 16.  The song has 3.95 million streams accumulated during the said tracking period. With these additional streams, the first English language track of BTS has now attained 500 million cumulative streams.

Since Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Chart was launched in 2018,  ‘Dynamite’ by BTS is just the second track to hit half a billion views.  The song follows  Yoasabi’s ‘Yoru ni Kakeru.’ This makes BTS – the first all-male artist, first K-pop idol group, and first foreign act to achieve this milestone.

Meanwhile, Ashley Park of ‘Emily in Paris’ fame, who plays Mindy in the drama reacted to BTS members RM and V. The K-Pop members have showered love and support for Ashley Park’s special rendition of the septet’s pop-disco hit track ‘Dynamite’.

Emily in Paris is quite a wonderful piece of series. It can be considered into the category of rom-com types.  Also, the show is toppled with the hint of business and the role of social media functionalities. There are two seasons of this show, available on Netflix.

Nonetheless, Ashley Park performed to ‘Dynamite’ in the opening episode of the new season to a live audience. Overwhelmed with the love and appreciation coming her way, Ashley Park penned down a brief paragraph for BTS.  The actress has thanked the K-Pop artists for their acknowledgment.  Ashley mentioned that it means a lot to her and the team of ‘Emily in Paris’.
