Columbia College Hollywood (CCH) is a private liberal arts college in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. Only 20 film universities in the United States have been granted full membership in the International Association of Movie and Television Schools (CILECT).

The institution has received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior Institution and University Commission (WSCUC) to offer bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs in cinema, visual effects, graphic design, and interactive media.

Columbia College Hollywood was founded in 1952 in the Los Angeles neighborhood of MacArthur Park as a branch campus of Columbia College in Chicago. During its early years, Columbia College Hollywood grew alongside the movie and television industries, eventually shifting from MacArthur Park to a larger building on La Brea Ave in central Hollywood in 1970. When the institution moved into former Panavision headquarters in Los Angeles’ Tarzana district in 1997, it created its current site.

In 2018, Columbia College Hollywood acquired Tribeca Flashpoint College, a creative media school in Chicago, Illinois, and renamed it Flashpoint Chicago, a Columbia College Hollywood campus.

It is located on an 85,000-square-foot campus in the South Fernando Valley. The campus is in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles, which got its name from the fact that it was built on land originally owned by Tarzan novelist Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Students and employees have access to on-campus parking as well as local public transportation and train connections. There’s a 96-seat 5.1 channel surround sound theatre for screenings, classes, and events, as well as a 35-seat 7.1 channel surround sound screening room, a sound stage, a three-camera HD television stage with a green screen and control room, a Foley/ADR suite with a sound-isolated booth and control room, post-production editing suites, standing sets, an acting studio, writers’ rooms, traditional classrooms, and an equipment room with.
