Shabana Azmi mentioned how she had to be draped in a dwindling cotton saree and positioned in the background when discussing her role in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She continued by saying “Playing an ultra-glamorous role in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was a liberating experience. I’ve never felt more beautiful on screen.”
The actress also remembered an event from when she was filming the movie and had to go to a wedding one day after the pack-up. He said, “How can you go to a wedding wearing shooting clothes and jewelry? At least let me give you real jewelry.” But Shabana asked him to “relax” as it would be completely fine. “And it was. I looked quite presentable at the wedding, if I may say so myself,” she added.
For those who are unaware, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks Karan’s return to directing after a seven-year absence. The movie’s original release date was originally set for April 2023, but its producers just stated that it will instead open on July 28. Fans were really delighted when the first peek was published earlier. They cannot wait to see the entrancing star cast in person.
