In 2006, the original lineup reformed for the Clovis Music Festival. Keith McCormack, a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, died on April 10, 2015, at the age of 74, from a stroke.
Patio Kids was created in 1956 by McCormack, Stephens, and de Cordova under the name Patio Kids. With the addition of drummer Charles Jay Edmiston, the Plainview High School classmates became a foursome, and in early 1957, they renamed themselves the Rock ‘n’ Rollers with the inclusion of another guitarist, Jimmy Torres.
Aquamarine is a 2006 American fantasy romantic comedy film directed by Elizabeth Allen, and it is based on Alice Hoffman’s 2001 young adult novel of the same name. Emma Roberts, Joanna ‘JoJo’ Levesque, and Sara Paxton feature in the film. 20th Century Fox distributed the film in the United States on March 3, 2006.
The film’s principal photography began in Australia in February 2005 and ended in April of the following year. On June 13, 2006, the film was released on DVD, and on March 6, 2012, it was released on Blu-ray.
In its opening weekend, Aquamarine grossed $7.5 million in 2,512 theaters, ranking #5 at the box office. By the end of its run, the film grossed $18.6 million domestically, and $4.4 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $23 million.
