Dia Mirza is an Indian model, actor, producer, and social worker who primarily works in Hindi movies. She was born on December 9, 1981. In the year 2000, Dia was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International. In 2001, she made her Bollywood debut with “Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.”
She went on to star in movies including Dus (2005), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), and Sanju (2007). She and her ex-husband, Sahil Sangha, co-owned a production company, Born Free Entertainment. Love Breakups Zindagi, their first film, was released on October 7, 2011. In December 2019, she founded her own production company, ‘One India Stories,’ following their divorce. In 2019, she also starred in the web series Kaafir.
Dia Mirza was born in the Indian city of Hyderabad. Frank Handrich, her father, was a Munich-based graphic and industrial fair designer, architect, artist, and interior designer. Deepa, her mother, is a Bengali interior designer and landscaper who also helps alcoholics and drug addicts as a volunteer. Her parents split when she was four and a half years old. Her mother married Ahmed Mirza after she was born.
Mirza was enrolled at Nasr School, a girls’ day school in Khairtabad, after attending Vidyaranya High School, a co-ed school. She went on to Stanley Junior College before graduating from Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
