Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an Indian actress, model, and film producer who was born on July 18, 1982. She is one of India’s highest-paid and most popular celebrities, having won the Miss World contest in 2000. She has also won plenty of awards, including two National Film Awards and five Filmfare’s. In 2016, the Indian government awarded her the Padma Shri, while Time named her one of the world’s 100 most important individuals, and Forbes named her one of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in the following two years.
Despite her desire to study aeronautical engineering, PeeCee accepted offers to join the Indian film industry as a result of her pageant victories, making her debut in Tamil film Thamizhan (2002). After that, she made her Bollywood debut with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003. Chopra is also a vocal advocate for gender equality, the gender wage gap, and feminism, as well as other social causes such as the environment and women’s rights. Chopra’s only release in 2020 was Robert Rodriguez’s Netflix kids superhero flick We Can Be Heroes. In 2009, Chopra started writing an opinion column for the Hindustan Times. She contributed 50 columns to the publication. She has a close relationship with her family, including her younger brother, Siddharth, and shares an apartment with them on the same floor.
