Saajan, a 1991 Bollywood Hindi-language romantic subplot film directed by Lawrence D’Souza and produced by Sudhakar Bokade, was directed by Lawrence D’Souza and produced by Sudhakar Bokade. The film stars Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit, as well as Kader Khan, Reema Lagoo, and Laxmikant Berde in supporting roles.
Nadeem–Shravan composed the soundtrack for this film, and Sameer wrote the lyrics. Saajan made a total of 18 crores over the world. It was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 1991. Allari Priyudu was informally replicated in Telugu.
Rajiv Verma, a wealthy businessman, adopts Aman, an impoverished and lame orphan. Rajiv’s wife, Kamla, as well as their child, Akash, accept Aman.
As adults, Aman and Akash share a great bond. Akash transforms into a womanizer and roadside Romeo, easygoing, versatile, and social. Under the pen name Sagar, Aman writes best-selling poetry, which has helped him gain prominence and millions of fans.
Pooja Saxena, the lovely owner of a bookstore, is a fan of his, and she writes him letters regularly, confessing her love and appreciation for him and his artistic abilities. She runs across Aman one day, and he recognizes her, but she doesn’t recognize him.
When Akash meets and falls in love with Pooja, he informs Aman and shows her a photograph. Aman, startled and upset, advises him to impersonate Sagar. Aman produces poems under the pen name Sagar, which Akash is unaware of. Pooja is overjoyed that she may have finally met ‘Sagar,’ unaware of the fact that this is not the case, while Akash does something similar.
Pooja sees Aman and tells him that she would have loved him if he had revealed that he is Sagar. As the film comes to a close, Akash decides to sacrifice his love to reunite Pooja and Aman.
