Legendary Bappi Lahiri’s last rites are underway at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. His son, Bappa Lahiri, returned to Mumbai from the USA along with his family today morning for his father’s funeral. On the other hand, his daughter Rema is inconsolable at her father’s funeral. Bappi Da’s mortal remains were brought to his Mumbai residence on Wednesday noon from CritiCare Hospital.
The late musicians’ daughter Rema couldn’t control her crying inconsolably as the final journey of her father began her dad’s last rites. Photographs of Rema bursting into tears are doing rounds on social media. It is truly heartbreaking to see Rema break down at the funeral.
Singers Alka Yagnik, Ila Arun, Shakti Kapoor, Rupali Ganguly have arrived at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai, for the last rites of Bappi Lahiri.
Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on Tuesday night at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. He dies due to OSA.
Bollywood’s Disco King will also be remembered for his iconic song tracks like Ooh La La from The Dirty Picture, Bambai Nagariya from Taxi No 9211, and Tune Maari Entriyaan from the 2014 film Gunday. Other than Hindi cinema, Bappi Da also gave music for films in Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada, and Gujarati cinema.
