Alia Bhatt who has impressed her fans with her outstanding performance in her iconic film, ‘Udta Punjab’, celebrates 5 years today. The film starrers Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh, helmed by filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey. The film has been Alia Bhatt’s one of the most popular movie. On its 5th anniversary, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and shared some behind the scene clips from the movie.
In the video, Starting from getting her makeup done to rehearsing her scenes and on-set with the other cast. Udta Punjab follows a rock star, a migrant labourer, a doctor and a policeman all struggling to cope with the chaos brought on by Punjab’s drug crisis.
Ekta Kapoor also took to her Instagram and recalled the time she went through while the film had being leaked online. She wrote, Censor issues and then the film leaked ! The maximum stress I had was that year ! Second film that leaked was a month later !! Both stuck at the censors ! Five flops and being called the ‘poster girl of misfortune’ by my favourite director …I think the only professional high point was the love #udtapunjab got.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt has several films coming ahead. The actress is currently waiting for the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia Bhatt also has Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. She will also appear in RRR with Ram Charan and Jr NTR and Karan Johar’s coming to the movie Takht. As per the recent reports, Alia Bhatt will be portraying the role of Sita for which she is charging a whopping amount of Rs 6 crore.
