Drishyam 3 Crosses Rs 587 Crore Worldwide on Day 36

Ajay Devgn's thriller holds its blockbuster verdict at Rs 587.42 crore worldwide as Ramayana opens with Rs 221.05 crore in two days.

Drishyam 3 reaches Rs 587.42 crore worldwide gross

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 has crossed Rs 587 crore in worldwide gross collections after 36 days in cinemas, holding its blockbuster verdict even as the Nitesh Tiwari-directed Ramayana pulls audiences in its opening weekend.

The latest number

As of November 6, 2026, the crime thriller’s India net collection stands at Rs 379.30 crore, according to Sacnilk, with domestic gross at Rs 454.22 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 133.20 crore, bringing the worldwide gross to Rs 587.42 crore. Domestic collections account for 77.3% of that total, while overseas territories represent 22.7%.

On its 36th day, Drishyam 3 collected approximately Rs 5 lakh net in India, with gross earnings of Rs 6 lakh from 66 shows. The day’s figure was unchanged from day 35, a sign that the film has entered the long tail of its theatrical run.

How the run has unfolded

  • Week 1: Rs 245.50 crore net, Rs 294.60 crore gross in India
  • Week 2: Rs 87.50 crore net, Rs 104.45 crore gross, a 64.4% drop
  • Week 3: Rs 28.85 crore net, Rs 34.47 crore gross, a 67% drop
  • Week 4: Rs 11.15 crore net, Rs 13.20 crore gross, a 61.4% drop

The trajectory is consistent with a front-loaded franchise film: a huge opening week, a sharp week-two correction, and then a slower, steadier decline. What is notable is that Drishyam 3 is still adding to its cumulative total after five weeks, rather than vanishing from screens.

Ramayana enters the race

The new competition is significant. Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, has collected Rs 221.05 crore worldwide in its first two days. Its India net earnings have crossed Rs 100 crore, with domestic gross at Rs 134.80 crore and overseas at Rs 86.25 crore.

For a film in its sixth week, the relevant question is not whether it can match that opening energy, but whether it can retain enough shows to convert a blockbuster into a slightly larger blockbuster.

Why this matters

The Hindi box office has often judged success by the first weekend. Drishyam 3 is a reminder that a strong opening and a clean second-week hold can carry a film past milestones even when daily collections have shrunk to a few lakhs. The 22.7% overseas share also shows how international business can prop up a long run.

The film’s cumulative total remains well above the Rs 500 crore worldwide mark, and Sacnilk continues to classify it as a blockbuster. The next test is whether it can add another significant milestone before Ramayana claims more screens.
