After 35 days in theatres, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has reached Rs 587.36 crore in worldwide gross collections, leaving it Rs 12.64 crore short of the Rs 600 crore mark. The pursuit of that milestone is now a question of the long tail rather than opening strength.
The theatrical curve has turned sharply downward
Trade data reported by Sacnilk puts the India net total at Rs 379.25 crore and the domestic gross at Rs 454.16 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 133.20 crore, or 22.7% of the worldwide total, while India accounts for 77.3%.
Day 35, Thursday, November 5, was especially weak. The film collected only Rs 5 lakh net from 74 shows, an 18% occupancy, a 90.9% fall from the previous day. The numbers indicate a run nearing its end.
Five weeks, five different levels of momentum
- Week 1: Rs 245.50 crore net / Rs 294.60 crore gross
- Week 2: Rs 87.50 crore net / Rs 104.45 crore gross, a 64.4% drop
- Week 3: Rs 28.85 crore net / Rs 34.47 crore gross, a 67% drop
- Week 4: Rs 11.15 crore net / Rs 13.20 crore gross, a 61.4% drop
- Week 5: Rs 6.25 crore net / Rs 7.44 crore gross, a 43.9% drop
The opening week accounted for the largest share of domestic collections. From there, the film continued to attract multilingual audiences, but each successive week added less to the worldwide pot.
Why the remaining Rs 12.64 crore matters
The Indian numbers remain decisive. With Rs 454.16 crore in domestic gross, the home market has generated more than three times the overseas contribution of Rs 133.20 crore. For a Hindi crime thriller, that split shows the franchise’s core remains local audiences.
The film has retained its blockbuster verdict according to the latest figures from Sacnilk, but the reported occupancy and show count suggest the path to Rs 600 crore now depends on fewer variables: holdover screens, ticket-price effects and any final-weekend uptick.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film stars Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat. Its plot revisits Vijay after Meera Deshmukh returns, this time driven by revenge, while a Crime Branch officer examines his alibis.
