Renowned playback singer Madhushree, known for her melodious voice in Bollywood hits like “Kabhi Neem Neem, Kabhi Shehad Shehad” from Yuva and “Kaun Hai Woh” and “Kanha So Ja Zara” from Baahubali 2, has now made waves in the Malayalam film industry. Her recently released Hindi song “Tuk Tuk” from the Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Hridayapoorvakam’, starring superstar Mohanlal, has become a massive hit across platforms.
Directed by Sathyan Anthikad, the film features this grand wedding song — marking the first-ever Hindi song in a Malayalam film, which has caught the attention of audiences for its unique fusion and lavish picturization.
Expressing her joy, Madhushree said, “I received a call from the very talented music composer Justin Prabhakaran. When I heard the song, I was surprised to know it was in Hindi for a Malayalam movie. He explained that it was a situational song, and when I recorded it, it was truly a wonderful experience. The lyrics by Raj Shekhar are beautifully written, and when I saw the picturization, I was amazed. I thank the director for giving me this memorable opportunity.”
Music composer Justin Prabhakaran shared, “I composed a wedding song titled Tuk Tuk, written by Raj Shekhar. While creating it, I immediately felt that only Madhushree ji could bring the right emotion and sweetness to it. I’ve been a huge admirer of her voice, and she truly infused life into the song with her soulful rendition.”
Director Sathyan Anthikad added, “I sincerely thank Madhushree for lending her beautiful voice to this song. Her rendition turned it into a magical and unforgettable number.”

The 11th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Sydney (IFFS) has officially elected the deeply moving Songs of Forgotten Trees, directed by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Anuparna Roy as it’s closing night film which will take place on 12th October. The film, which recently won the prestigious Orizzonti Award for Best Director at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, is a lyrical and meditative exploration of memory, resilience, and the sacred relationship between people and nature. Presented in Hindi, Songs of Forgotten Trees is set to have it’s Australian ore Kerr at IFFS, being touted as one of the biggest Indian international films of the year.
Festival Director Mitu Lange expressed her delight at the selection of such a monumental film to close the festival “We could not have imagined a more perfect closing for our 11th anniversary edition. Songs of Forgotten Trees embodies everything we at IFFS stand for cinema that moves, provokes, and heals. Anuparna Roy has created a cinematic poem that resonates universally, yet speaks deeply to our cultural roots. We are overwhelmed to have had the honor of presenting its Australian premiere.”

Anup Jalota, Madhushree, and Kumaar Launch Singer-Actor Suharssh Raaj’s Debut Song ‘Kaafir Deewana’ Directed by Devashish Sargam (Raj)
Padma Shri Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota and renowned playback singer Madhushree officially launched singer-actor Suharssh Raaj’s debut music video Kaafir Deewana at a grand event held at Red Bulb Studio, Mumbai. The launch witnessed a packed gathering of guests, media professionals, and industry personalities who applauded Suharssh Raaj’s soulful singing and captivating on-screen performance as the video premiered on the big screen.
The song, released under the Moonwhite Films Official YouTube Channel, has been receiving an overwhelming response from audiences. The soulful lyrics have been penned by celebrated Bollywood lyricist Kumaar, while the song’s music, story, and direction are by Devashish Sargam (Raj). The music video is produced by Shipra Raj and Pandit Suvashit Raj, a well-known astrologer. Music composer Vivek Prakash was also present at the launch event. Suharssh Raaj mesmerized the audience by performing a few lines of his debut song live.
Speaking about Kaafir Deewana, Anup Jalota praised Suharssh Raaj’s talent, saying: “It is rare to find someone who possesses both a beautiful voice and a strong screen presence. Suharssh Raaj has delivered an extraordinary performance in this video. I extend my blessings and best wishes to him.
