    Tushar Gandhi praises Sara Ali Khan for her brilliant portrayal of Usha Mehta in Ae Watan Mere Watan, says, “You brought Ushaben alive”

    Sara Ali Khan yet again stepped into a different character with her latest release Ae Watan Mere Watan. She portrayed the character of a freedom fighter Usha Mehta, who organized an underground radio station, which functioned for a few months during the Quit India Movement of 1942. As the film was released, it left the masses totally astounded to see the brilliant portrayal by Sara. While the actress has been receiving heaps of praise from the audience, now, she received praise from Tushar Gandhi.

    Tushar Gandhi, great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, took to his social media and wrote a note expressing his feelings for the film that traces the life of Usha Mehta. He certainly praised Sara for playing the role perfectly. He wrote –

    “I grew up knowing Ushaben Mehta. She mentored me in my youth. I had heard tales of her exploits running the clandestine Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement. It all came alive as I watched #Ae_Vatan_Mere_Vatan. Thank you
    @SaraAliKhan you brought Ushaben alive.”

    This is indeed a testament to Sara’s brilliant portrayal in the film. She stepped into the complex character with such ease and is receiving praise from all across.
