Director Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been in the news ever since its release. The film has been well received by the audience and it has been made tax free in many states. After this, there is a demand to make this film tax free in Delhi also. After this, on Thursday, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that if the filmmakers want more and more people to see this film, then put it on YouTube so that it can be seen for free.
The lead actor of ‘The Kashmir Files’ is furious over this statement of Arvind Kejriwal. Anupam did not take the name of Arvind Kejriwal but wrote on his Twitter handle, ‘Now friends go and watch The Kashmir Files in the cinema hall itself. You people have known the misery of Kashmiri Hindus after 32 years. Understand the atrocities done to them. Showed sympathy with them. But those who are making fun of this tragedy, please make them feel your power.’
Let us tell you that a section is also opposing this film, calling it anti-Muslim. Many people say that this film is anti-Muslim and disturbs communal harmony. In Bollywood too, veteran actors like Swara Bhaskar, Adil Hussain, Prakash Raj, Nana Patekar and Nandita Das have openly criticized ‘The Kashmir Files’.
Arvind Kejriwal ridiculed the film even more and said that BJP leaders are busy putting up posters. Arvind Kejriwal said whether you have come into politics to put up posters.
Questioning the intention of Vivek Agnihotri, Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP leader of Haryana had asked to show the film for free, then Vivek immediately complained to Manohar Lal Khattar that the film should not be shown for free. These people are earning crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits.
Even though some people are opposing this film but it has not affected the business of the film. Hate is being sold in a big way. The film has so far earned over Rs 200 crore at the domestic box office.
