Salman Khan’s action drama Monster has entered its final production phase: a 50-day schedule at a Mira Road studio devoted entirely to close-quarter combat. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the Pan-India title is being readied for the Eid 2027 theatrical window.
The final block is contact, not scale
Principal photography began in Mumbai in mid-April 2026. The production followed with a packed six-week schedule in Goregaon in August, where it filmed large-scale action, crowd sequences and an elaborate Afghan village setup. A focused ten-day combat training block in Mumbai then ran in September.
The closing stretch changes emphasis. Instead of glossy staging, the report says the team is working toward what it describes as a “raw and grounded action experience,” with Khan placed directly inside long hand-to-hand sequences.
What a 50-day combat allocation signals
A half-century of shooting days reserved for close-quarter combat is a significant commitment in mainstream Hindi cinema. It suggests that fight choreography is being treated as principal scene work, not as a secondary unit afterthought. For a film dated to Eid 2027, this also defines the audience promise early: physicality and contact will carry the action, rather than spectacle alone.
- The final schedule spans 50 days at a Mira Road studio.
- It follows a six-week August block and a ten-day training schedule.
- Khan is balancing the shoot with his Bigg Boss 20 commitments.
- The production is targeting a November wrap before post-production.
The timeline from here
Khan’s ability to juggle the demanding action block with Bigg Boss 20 is central to the schedule staying on track. With filming intended to conclude in November, the team will move directly into post-production and begin the longer task of positioning Monster as a festival title for Eid 2027.
The ensemble adds weight to the film’s Pan-India ambition: Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, Rahul Dev, Ronit Roy and Seema Biswas round out the cast. The next concrete milestone is the November wrap; after that, the question becomes how the raw combat captured on set is shaped for the screen and sold to a wide audience.
