Rasika Dugal to have a working Diwali in Scotland, misses celebrating the festival away from home and family

For actor Rasika Dugal, this Diwali will be a little different. While the festive season brings families together to celebrate with lights, laughter and traditions, the actor will be spending the festival away from home, in Scotland, as she begins shooting for her next untitled series.

Coming off the massive success of Mirzapur: The Movie and the overwhelming love she has received for her portrayal of the formidable Beena Tripathi, Rasika is embracing a new professional commitment even as she prepares to miss the festivities with her family in Mumbai. Known for her dedication to her craft, the actor is all set to make the most of her working Diwali, carrying the festive spirit with her to Scotland.

Speaking about working through Diwali and being away from family this year, Rasika Dugal says,

“Diwali has always been a special time to be with family, and I will miss celebrating it with everyone in Mumbai this year. There is something very comforting about being home during the festive season — good food, catching up with loved ones, and enjoying all the little traditions that make Diwali feel like Diwali.
But as actors, our work often takes us away from home during these special occasions, and that’s all part of the job. I am excited to be shooting my next series in Scotland, and I am hoping to bring a little bit of the festive spirit to the set.
It will be a working Diwali, but if you look at it another way, there is nothing better than doing what you love on an auspicious day! And a film unit always finds moments of warmth and celebration, even in the middle of a hectic schedule.I will make up for all the missed family time once I am back in Mumbai!”

As Rasika steps into this new chapter, her working Diwali reflects the commitment and passion with which she approaches her craft. While Scotland will be her workplace this festive season, the actor will carry the warmth of home and the spirit of Diwali with her, proving that celebrations can find their way into even the busiest of schedules.
