Ramayana Reported Advance Gross Hits Rs 23.28 Crore

Yash's Monster Mind Creations will distribute Ramayana in Karnataka as the epic logs Rs 23.28 crore in reported advance gross before its Nov 5 release.

Ramayana reported advance gross hits ₹23.28 crore

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is building its release machinery state by state, and the latest piece places a central character’s banner in charge of his home market. Yash’s Monster Mind Creations will distribute the two-part epic in Karnataka through its distribution wing, extending Yash’s involvement beyond playing Ravana and being a producing partner.

Advance sales are already running

Ahead of the November 5 worldwide release, the film’s booking windows are active. Trade tracker Sacnilk recorded around 2.16 lakh tickets sold from 161 cities. The opening-weekend gross pre-booking figure stood at Rs 12.50 crore, according to the report. Excluding blocked seats, the estimated advance collection was Rs 10.57 crore; when blocked seats are included, the reported gross rose to Rs 23.28 crore.

The gap between the two figures is the detail to watch: blocked seats are counted in the reported number but are not part of the sellable advance total. For readers tracking an epic release, the cleaner signal is the excluding-blocked figure of Rs 10.57 crore, while the larger number indicates the scale of inventory the exhibition side has set aside.

A territory-wise distribution map

Ramayana has been split across several companies rather than handed to one national distributor:

  • Sony Pictures: international distribution outside India
  • Dharma Productions: Hindi-speaking market in North India
  • Dil Raju: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
  • Monster Mind Creations: Karnataka
  • Think Studios: Tamil Nadu
  • E4 Entertainment, led by Mukesh Mehta: Kerala

This is a familiar structure for a big multilingual release: an overseas studio partner plus regional distributors who control local language campaigns and theatre relationships. The Karnataka assignment matters because it aligns distribution with a star-producer’s fanbase rather than treating the territory as an ordinary licensing deal.

The release ahead

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Prime Focus Studios, led by Namit Malhotra, produces in partnership with VFX studio DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. Music is being released under the T-Series label, and Part 1 will arrive in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with an IMAX release planned.

Part 2 is slated for Diwali 2027. For now, the Karnataka distribution announcement and the advance-booking numbers are early indicators of how the film is being positioned as a pan-India event rather than a single-language release.
