Raaz 3 returns in Rs 150 3D festival across 18 cities

Cinépolis India and RealD are turning the theatrical re-release into a low-cost 3D event. Starting October 23, 2026, the partners will screen a slate of familiar titles across 23 Cinépolis cinemas in 18 cities, with every ticket priced at Rs 150.

What is playing

The programme mixes Hollywood franchises with a Hindi horror title. The 3D format is the common thread, not the release date.

  • Raaz 3 — the Hindi 3D entry, a chance to revisit the film in its theatrical format at an accessible price.
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home, Fast & Furious 7, Jurassic World, Mufasa: The Lion King and Lilo & Stitch in English.

All screenings carry the same Rs 150 ticket, according to the announcement.

Why a flat price matters

A known film removes much of the discovery risk that comes with a new release. The audience already has a relationship with the story, so the pitch can focus on the experience rather than the plot. At Rs 150, the ticket is priced closer to a streaming rental than a typical premium 3D outing.

Cinépolis India’s Head of Commercialisation, Ashish Misra, framed the draw around the moment, not the plot.

“When people come back to a film they already know, they come for the moments,” Misra said. “They know exactly when the big scene is coming, and they wait for it with a hall full of people who are waiting for the same thing.”

The 3D bridge

RealD’s Nathan Davis positioned the festival as something larger than nostalgia. The announcement points to upcoming releases such as Ramayana and Avengers: Doomsday as the next major tests for premium 3D.

“India continues to be one of the world’s most exciting moviegoing markets,” Davis said. In his telling, a low-cost re-entry into 3D helps audiences rediscover the format before those bigger releases arrive.

What it means for Hindi cinema regulars

Hindi cinema has experimented with 3D in bursts, often around horror and spectacle. Including Raaz 3 in a festival of Hollywood franchises gives the event a local anchor. It is a chance to judge whether the format adds enough to a title the audience already knows.

The pitch is deliberately simple: one price, familiar stories, a big screen. That is less a discount than a reset of expectations.

The cities

The festival will run in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Surat, Thane and Vadodara.

For Hindi cinema followers, the inclusion of Raaz 3 is the clearest local hook. It brings a mainstream Hindi title back to 3D at a flat price, making the premium format an easier impulse purchase. Whether one accessible event can rebuild a lasting 3D habit is the real test.
