Post-Covid Hindi cinema has found a new scoreboard: cumulative India net collections across an actor’s theatrical releases. Koimoi’s count shows ten Bollywood actors have crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark since theatres reopened, though the list is less about individual openings and more about franchises, multi-starrers and release volume.
The ₹1,000-crore club
Two actors have crossed ₹2,000 crore cumulatively: Sanjay Dutt and Ranveer Singh, both powered by the two-film Dhurandhar franchise. Sanjay Dutt sits at ₹3,902.54 crore across Hindi, Kannada and Telugu releases, with KGF: Chapter 2, Leo and Housefull 5 adding to his total alongside Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. Ranveer Singh is second at ₹2,374.46 crore; his non-Dhurandhar grosser Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani added ₹153.3 crore.
Ajay Devgn has moved to fourth place with ₹1,703.67 crore, helped by Drishyam 3’s ₹323.75 crore, and is positioned to overtake third-placed Akshaye Khanna, whose ₹1,750.88 crore is built on Chhaava, Drishyam 2 and the Dhurandhar franchise.
- Sanjay Dutt: ₹3,902.54 crore – Dhurandhar 2 (₹1,186.32 crore)
- Ranveer Singh: ₹2,374.46 crore – Dhurandhar 2 (₹1,186.32 crore)
- Akshaye Khanna: ₹1,750.88 crore – Chhaava (₹615.39 crore)
- Ajay Devgn: ₹1,703.67 crore – Drishyam 3 (₹323.75 crore)
- Akshay Kumar: ₹1,677.13 crore – Bhooth Bangla (₹199.23 crore)
- Shah Rukh Khan: ₹1,415.64 crore – Jawan (₹640.42 crore)
- Pankaj Tripathi: ₹1,220.52 crore – Stree 2 (₹627.5 crore)
- Vicky Kaushal: ₹1,095.31 crore – Chhaava (₹615.39 crore)
- Sunny Deol: ₹1,025.80 crore – Gadar 2 (₹525.5 crore)
- Ranbir Kapoor: ₹1,011.00 crore – Animal (₹554 crore)
For Akshay Kumar, the cumulative total rewards persistence: 19 post-Covid releases, from Sooryavanshi to Bhooth Bangla, push him to ₹1,677.13 crore. Shah Rukh Khan needed only three films — Jawan, Pathaan and Dunki — to reach ₹1,415.64 crore, a reminder of how concentrated his post-Covid run has been.
Enter Tripathi, exit Salman
Pankaj Tripathi enters the list at ₹1,220.52 crore, with Mirzapur: The Movie adding ₹235.55 crore to a filmography that includes Stree 2 and OMG 2. Salman Khan, by contrast, does not make the cut. From four releases — Tiger 3, Sikandar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Antim: The Final Truth — his cumulative post-Covid total is ₹563.5 crore.
Why this matters
This is not a pure stardom ranking. Cumulative net collections favour actors who appear in franchise blockbusters or release often, and a single pan-India hit can redraw the table. Rajkummar Rao is next in line at ₹883.79 crore from nine releases; his tenth, Prahaar, could decide when he enters the club.
