Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar pivots to party mode with Zulmi

Four days before Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar reaches cinemas, its makers have changed the musical temperature. The new track “Zulmi” is now available on T-Series Music, and it moves the film’s promotional sound from the romantic register suggested by its earlier songs to an upbeat, dance-led number.

A shift in register

“Zulmi” pairs Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber in the lead performance, with Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Sparsh Walia and Alisha Chopra also appearing. It arrives with a credits list built for the short-video era:

  • Composer: Tanishk Bagchi
  • Lyrics: Kumaar
  • Vocals: Heer
  • Choreography: Bosco Martis
  • Label: T-Series Music

The names are a signal in themselves. Tanishk Bagchi is among Hindi film music’s most commercially visible composers, and Bosco Martis has regularly choreographed songs designed to travel as dance clips and reels. Put them together four days before a theatrical opening, and the intention is clear: give the film a second sonic entry point beyond its love songs.

What the creators are saying

Bagchi described the track as an attempt at a sound that feels “fun, fresh and a little unexpected.” In a statement, he said Kumaar’s lyrics capture the song’s “quirky spirit” and credited Luv Ranjan with encouraging the team “to bring something distinctive to the table.”

Lyricist Kumaar framed the writing as a balancing act: the words needed their own personality while keeping the song light. Singer Heer said the recording “brought a lot of fun and freshness” and hopes it finds a place in listeners’ celebrations and playlists.

For listeners, the immediate takeaway is simple: the album now has a song built for the dance floor as well as for the love story. That division of labour—romantic melody for the narrative, party track for the campaign—has become a standard structure for theatrical releases.

Why the timing matters

Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is presented by Luv Films, directed by Anuj Saini and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. It opens worldwide on October 23, 2026. A late-campaign dance track is standard architecture for romantic films: it offers a high-energy visual for the cast, a clip-friendly hook for reels, and a playlist entry that can keep the title visible as advance-booking conversations intensify.

The question now is whether “Zulmi” can detach from the film and live on its own. Final-week music works when the hook is strong enough to outlast the promotional cycle—and that is the test the song now faces.
