Social media platform X has reportedly begun blocking over 8,000 accounts in India after receiving executive orders from the Indian government.
The move follows warnings of heavy fines and possible jail time for X’s local staff if the company failed to comply. While adhering to the directive, X raised concerns, stating the government did not clarify which posts violated laws or justify the scale of the act
