Shweta Tiwari is one of the most popular celebrities in the Television industry. The actress often makes headlines for her fashion game and fitness regime. Nowadays she is in news due to her daughter Palak Tiwari also.
Currently, the actress is back in the headlines, and this time for not a good reason. Shweta has landed herself in trouble after she made a statement regarding her innerwear. This was during a press conference where she was promoting her upcoming web series ‘Show Stopper’.
Reportedly, in a press conference in Bhopal on Wednesday Shweta Tiwari referred to God while speaking about her intimate wear. Shweta made a statement, “Mere bra ki size Bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking the measurements for my bra).” The video was posted on social media.
Immediately after this video surfaced on social media it went viral. Although the actress said it on a lighter note as a joke, this statement of her did not go down well with many. As per sources, MP Home Minister directed the police to investigate her remark and submit a report within 24 hours.
According to reports, the minister has stated, “I have heard it and I strongly condemn it. I have directed the police commissioner of Bhopal to probe it and give a report within 24 hours. After that, we will see what action can be taken in the matter.” Subsequently, an FIR has been filed against actor Shweta Tiwari. The case was registered under Section 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code at the Shyamla Hills Police Station in Bhopal.
As regards the web series, ‘Show Stopper’ is a show about fashion. The show stars Sourabh Raj Jain in the role of a bra fitter. As people already know Sourabh has played the role of Lord Krishna in Mahabharat. Understandably, Shweta has made the statement in that light only.
Additionally, the web series Show Stopper also stars Rohit Roy and Digangana Suryavanshi. All of them were present at the press conference. Actress Shweta Tiwari has landed in a soup following her controversial statement at a press conference.
Furthermore, the statement has not gone well with some sections and they have also demanded an apology from the actress. Therefore, Shweta Tiwari has issued a public apology stating that she did not want to hurt anyone.
Nonetheless, the apology note clarifies that the statement in reference to ‘Bhagwan’ was in context with Sourabh Raj Jain’s popular role of a deity.
