India is fighting the second wave of coronavirus-driven disease and is struggling to treat its sick citizens. Recently, Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has reached out to US President Joe Biden, and other US government officials to help India in its fight against Covid-19. The actress has appealed to the POTUS on social media to share the covid vaccine with India, which is dealing under the second wave of the virus spread.
Priyanka wrote, “My heart breaks. India is suffering from COVID19 & the US has ordered 550M more vaccines than needed @POTUS @WHCOS @SecBlinken @JakeSullivan46 Thx for sharing AstraZeneca worldwide, but the situation in my country is critical. Will you urgently share vaccines w/ India? #vaxlive.

However, Priyanka’s post was flooded with mix responses. One of the user wrote, “This tweet was required Atleast 2 weeks back. You shouldn’t have waited for #VaxLive campaign to tweet for your fellow countrymen.” While another one commented, “Good morning. US already agreed to supply the raw materials for vaccine development. This should have been posted yesterday.”
Earlier, Priyanka Chopra had message and urged people to stay home for their family and friends. She also shared some precautions which must be taken to keep oneself safe from Covid-19.
On the work front, Priyanka is currently shooting for Citadel, a spy series also starring Richard Madden. The project is executive produced by the Russo Brothers and backed by Amazon. The actress has finished shooting for Text for You with Celine Dion, Russell Tovey, Sam Heughan, and Omid Djalili. Priyanka will also be seen in an Indian wedding comedy along with Mindy Kaling. She will co-produce and feature in it. The actress has Matrix 4, and a film based on the life of Maa Anand Sheela in the pipeline.
