Nayyi Navelli Day 6: India Net Reaches Rs 20.65 Cr, 54% Drop

Yami Gautam's Nayyi Navelli fell 54% on Day 6 to Rs 2.00 cr India net; the six-day total is Rs 20.65 cr and worldwide gross Rs 27.19 cr.

Nayyi Navelli Day 6: India net Rs 20.65 cr, 54% drop

Yami Gautam’s Nayyi Navelli lost more than half of Tuesday’s momentum on Wednesday, collecting Rs 2.00 crore in India net on its sixth day, according to Sacnilk figures cited by The Times of India. That is a 54% fall from Tuesday’s Rs 4.35 crore, and it takes the film’s first-six-day India net total to Rs 20.65 crore.

The domestic gross stands at Rs 24.54 crore. Wednesday’s overseas collection of Rs 15 lakh pushes the total overseas gross to Rs 2.65 crore. The worldwide gross is now Rs 27.19 crore.

Six days, one uneven curve

The daily India net numbers show a film that has not yet found a steady midweek audience:

  • Friday: Rs 3.25 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 4.00 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 4.40 crore
  • Monday: Rs 2.65 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 4.35 crore
  • Wednesday: Rs 2.00 crore

The sixth-day fall is notable because Tuesday had looked like a recovery. Wednesday’s Rs 2.00 crore is lower than Monday’s Rs 2.65 crore, which suggests the film is struggling to hold the casual audience after its opening frame.

Why the Wednesday number matters

The drop came with reduced exposure. Nayyi Navelli played 4,737 shows on Wednesday, down from 6,281 on opening day, and occupancy settled at 12%. Footfalls were 115,427 on the day, bringing the first six days to 1,010,978 admissions.

Show count is a quiet but telling indicator: the film has already been trimmed from its opening-day level. A midweek decline is not unusual after a weekend, but a day-six number below Monday’s does not suggest strong hold. The next two days will show whether the dip is part of a normal post-weekend pattern or a sign that the theatrical run is cooling quickly.

The next checkpoint

For a Hindi film of this scale, the question is not just the first-week cume but whether it can hold screens and interest into the second weekend. The overseas contribution remains small at Rs 2.65 crore, so India will overwhelmingly decide the film’s box-office outcome.

These are Sacnilk-compiled estimates and may be revised when official studio data is updated. The trajectory, however, gives a clear view of where the film stands. If Friday and Saturday can lift occupancy without another significant cut in shows, Nayyi Navelli may still build a respectable cumulative total. If the slide resumes, exhibitors are likely to reallocate screens quickly.

The film’s pitch

Directed by Balaji Mohan, Nayyi Navelli is a comedy-horror fantasy set in Meerut. Yami Gautam plays Mohini, a bride who appears to bring good fortune to a household; her brother-in-law begins to suspect she may be a supernatural threat. The cast includes Adinath Kothare, Mita Vashisht, Sonal Jha, Sunita Rajwar, Prateek Pachauri and Sushmita Mukherjee.

That genre blend gives the film a distinctive hook, but the box-office test is whether the concept can generate repeat viewing and positive word of mouth. The Wednesday slide keeps that question open.
