Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay: Fails to Sweeten the Palate with Lackluster Storytelling

With the ‘Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay’ movie, pop-singer Guru Randhawa has made his acting debut along with Saiee Manjrekar.

Movie Ratings- 2/5 Stars (Dull Screenplay)

    Movie Review-
    G. Ashok’s directorial venture, ‘Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay,’ fails to sweeten the cinematic palate, leaving a bitter aftertaste of disappointment. Despite a star-studded cast featuring Guru Randhawa, Saiee M. Manjrekar, Anupam Kher, Ila Arun, Atul Srivastava, Paresh Ganatra, and Paritosh Tripathi, the film struggles with lackluster storytelling, a critical flaw that hampers its overall impact.

The movie’s runtime of just 2 hours and 5 minutes surprisingly feels stretched and dull, making it a challenge for viewers to stay engaged. While the premise, set in Agra, unfolds the tale of Heer Chawla (Guru Randhawa) and Iraa Mishra (Saiee Manjrekar), the execution lacks the zest needed to breathe life into their characters and story.

One glimmer of hope in this otherwise forgettable affair is the cameo of Tollywood legendary comedian Brahmanandam. His sheer presence has the potential to tickle the audience’s funny bone, but unfortunately, the film fails to utilize this comedic gem to its full extent. The disappointment lies not in Brahmanandam’s performance but in the underwhelming use of his comedic prowess.
