Brahmastra Movie Review: The story of Brahmastra is weak, and Ranbir unfit for the character

When I was going to see Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, I was a little nervous, a little scared that I didn’t know whether the film would be good or not because I was disappointed just after watching the trailer. And that’s what I was afraid of.

The fear was that the way Indian mythology has been made into today’s character, whether the story would be alive or not, the fear was that today’s young director Ayan Mukerji would be able to explain his story or not, the fear was that the film would not bore? All those fears came true while I was watching the film.

Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, has a very complicated story that is not easily understood by the common man. Ayan Mukerji has notably failed to write the story of a fantasy adventure film. Getting the three pieces of Brahmastra, and the fight to save it is extremely confusing. The screenplay is weak and the dialogues look childish. I think Ranbir Kapoor does not suit this character. Mouni Roy looks very bad in the film. The first part of the film is still better but the second part is very weak where there is a feeling of boredom at times. The length of the film is excessive which is another weak link of Brahmastra. After watching the entire film, it feels like the story has been intertwined between the special effects and graphics.

If we talk about the merits of the film Brahmastra, then its graphics and special effects are superb and look good on screen in 3D. That is, this film is visually spectacular. Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt are fine in their roles. Brahmastra’s 2 songs are also fine. The hard work of the entire team of the film is reflected on screen. The chasing scenes are shot very well.

If we talk about the story of the film, Brahmastra, which broke many years ago and its pieces are in different places in the country and someone wants to get it, for his power for which the passion i.e. Mouni Roy has emerged. The whole story of this film revolves around Shiva i.e. Ranbir Kapoor who is not aware of his powers, about which Guru Ji i.e. Amitabh Bachchan tells in detail.

Maybe this film will get a big opening because after marriage Ranbir and Alia are seen together on screen, apart from this the promotion of the film has also been done tremendously. But the film is finding it difficult to have a long run at the box office. Overall this is a weak big budget film for which 2 stars from my side.
