    Robert Pattinson: His joke about ‘not working out’ for The Batman came back to haunt him

    Robert Pattinson is all set for taking on the role of the caped crusader in his upcoming film.  The film is much anticipated, The Batman and fans are extremely excited for the same. Considering the fact that superhero roles come with their own set of challenges, this one was no exception. Pattison was required to have the perfect physique for the role.  In a recent media interaction, the actor reflected on his old joke about not working out for the role. 

    What You Never Knew About Robert Pattinson

    Subsequent to Robert making the aforesaid statement, it went viral in May 2020.  Back then, the actor spoke about ignoring his trainer in a GQ interview.  He said, “I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem. You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the ’70s. Even James Dean — he wasn’t exactly ripped.”  

    However, during his recent interview, the actor looked back on his quote.  Robert Pattinson revealed how it came back to haunt him. Pattinson maintained that he thinks it’s really embarrassing to talk about working out.  He also said that it could be an English thing. Although clarifying his previous joke, the actor did speak about how he worked for The Batman.

    Additionally, Robert Pattinson also mentioned, “You’re playing Batman. You have to work out. I think I was doing the interview when I was in lockdown, as well, in England…I was in a lower gear of working out”.

    Although it seems Pattinson’s jokes often seem to make him go viral.  Robert also compared his The Batman workout joke to the other hilarious comments he had previously made. One of them was the revelation that as a young actor he had avoided washing his hair. 

    As regards Robert Pattinson’s upcoming release, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is releasing on March 4, 2022. Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho has reportedly found a perfect project to make his much-awaited comeback with. As per sources, the Parasite director is in talks to write and direct an untitled movie. The project is based on Edward Ashton’s upcoming novel Mickey7. The project is expected to be taken up by Warner Bros.
