Hanuman Ansh Day 70: worldwide gross Rs 448.33 cr

Ten weeks after its August 7 release, Hanuman Ansh is still drawing audiences across Hindi and Telugu shows. On Day 70, Thursday, October 15, the Vishal Chaturvedi film added Rs 65 lakh in India net collections, according to box office tracker Sacnilk. The day’s 1,672 reported shows recorded overall occupancy of 13.2%.

The cumulative India net now stands at Rs 338.98 cr. Domestic gross is Rs 400.03 cr, overseas gross Rs 48.30 cr, and worldwide gross has reached Rs 448.33 cr.

Day 70, version by version

The Hindi and Telugu versions are behaving differently at this stage of the run:

  • Hindi: Rs 35 lakh from 1,262 shows, with 11% occupancy. Night shows were strongest at 13.58%.
  • Telugu: Rs 30 lakh from 410 shows, with 20% occupancy. Night shows reached 16.33%.

Thursday’s India net was 48% lower than Wednesday’s Rs 1.25 cr. The midweek drop is consistent with the film’s recent pattern: the tenth weekend opened at Rs 1.20 cr on Friday, rose to Rs 2.50 cr on Saturday and Rs 2.80 cr on Sunday, then settled into weekday figures around Rs 1.25-1.35 cr before Thursday’s softer number.

The long tail of a faith-led film

What keeps Hanuman Ansh relevant is not the scale of any single day, but its hold late in the run. The film’s highest reported weekly total came in Week 5, at Rs 90.25 cr, followed by Rs 80.25 cr in Week 6. Week 4 contributed Rs 61 cr, Week 7 Rs 44.80 cr, Week 8 Rs 29.20 cr, Week 9 Rs 10.60 cr and Week 10 Rs 11 cr.

For a devotional drama based on Divine Detour: That Changed My Life and the story of Neem Karoli Baba, those late-week totals matter. They suggest word-of-mouth and repeat viewing from a faith-oriented audience, not just an opening-weekend rush. Trade watchers often describe this holding power as box office legs: the film keeps earning week after week instead of collapsing after its first few days.

The film, led by Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand, follows young Lakshmi Narayan as he leaves home after his mother’s death and journeys through northern India before becoming Neem Karoli Baba. The cast also includes Anil Rastogi, Purnima Tiwwari, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel and Neha Paranjpe. Vishal Bawa handled cinematography and Shankh Rajadhyaksha edited the film.

What to watch next

For Hindi cinema readers, the film is a reminder of the devotional genre’s quiet reach. Multi-language devotional dramas often play in markets that do not generate front-page multiplex numbers, yet their aggregate can rival star-led commercial releases. Hanuman Ansh has now spent ten weeks in cinemas, with the Telugu version routinely recording the higher occupancy despite far fewer shows.

The release is now at a point where daily additions are small, but every crore shifts the record. The next benchmark is whether the film’s reported totals move as studio data and international collections are finalised. Sacnilk’s figures remain estimates, and the source itself cautions that numbers can change as official updates arrive.
