Vishal Chaturvedi’s spiritual drama Hanuman Ansh added Rs 3.00 crore net in India on its ninth Sunday, October 4, according to trade figures collated by Sacnilk. The Day 59 result was up 42.9% from Saturday’s Rs 2.10 crore, a late-run bump for a film that is still finding evening audiences.
The day’s business takes the film’s cumulative India net to Rs 324.73 crore. India gross stands at Rs 383.56 crore, while overseas gross has reached Rs 39.70 crore after Sunday’s Rs 20 lakh from international markets. Worldwide gross now sits at Rs 423.26 crore.
A weekend that turned upward
Friday started the ninth weekend with Rs 2.25 crore from 1,166 shows. Saturday dipped to Rs 2.10 crore across 1,339 shows, and Sunday climbed to Rs 3.00 crore as the show count rose to 1,399. The day’s overall occupancy was 57%.
The Hindi 2D version showed sharper movement through the day. After a 43.54% morning, occupancy reached 75.62% in the afternoon and peaked at 86.54% in the evening, before settling at 66.15% for night shows. The version’s overall occupancy was 69.79%.
A backloaded run, not an opening-week story
The week-by-week record explains why this ninth Sunday matters. Hanuman Ansh opened quietly and then found a larger audience around the fourth and fifth weeks, which is unusual enough to track closely.
- Week 1: Rs 1.08 crore
- Week 2: Rs 0.40 crore
- Week 3: Rs 10.40 crore
- Week 4: Rs 61.00 crore
- Week 5: Rs 90.25 crore (peak)
- Week 6: Rs 80.25 crore
- Week 7: Rs 44.80 crore
- Week 8: Rs 29.20 crore
For Hindi cinema watchers, that trajectory is a reminder that faith-driven films can build late through community recommendation and repeat family viewing, especially on weekends. A 42.9% Sunday rise at this stage suggests demand has not simply faded with the release calendar.
What to watch next
The current week’s benchmark is Week 8’s Rs 29.20 crore. The ninth weekend has already contributed Rs 7.35 crore across three days, so the weekly total should add meaningfully from here. As with all third-party box office estimates, official studio data and finalised international reports may revise these figures.
Hanuman Ansh features Shobhinaw Satyaa and Vihaan Shedge in the lead roles. Chaturvedi wrote and directed the Hindi-language drama.
