Who is the 6th member of BTS?

The seven members of the BTS band have taken the world by storm (and our hearts.) But who was the first to join BTS? There’s a reason why J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and Suga joined in the order that they did. It has something to do with BTS’ past and how the group passed through several distinct concepts before becoming the Bangtan Boys we know and love today.

V was the group’s sixth member. V, who has been playing the saxophone since he was three years old, auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment when he was fifteen years old in 2011. Originally, he went to the audition to support a friend who wished to work for Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee.

However, a casting director who spotted V during the audition encouraged him to try out as well. V advanced to the next round after his performance, becoming the only auditionee from Daegu, Korea, to pass that day. Later on, he joined the BTS.

BTS made their debut in 2013 with “No More Dream,” a single from their album 2 Cool 4 Skool. With sold-out tours, seven studio albums, and more number-one songs than we can count, the Bulletproof Boy Scouts have become one of the most well-known boy bands in the world. Halsey, Becky G, Desiigner, and Steve Aoki are among the musicians with whom the band and its members have collaborated. The Bangtan Boys were the first K-pop group to perform at the Grammy Awards in 2020.
