Indian actress and model Aditi Govitrikar was born on May 21, 1976. Govitrikar was the only Indian supermodel with both a medical doctorate and a psychology degree from 1997 to 2004. She moved to Grant Medical College in Mumbai after graduating with an MBBS medical degree in 1997 after attending Barns High School in Panvel.
She won the Gladrags Mega Model Contest in 1996 and Mrs. India in 2000, before going on to win Mrs. World in 2001. Mrs. World is still held by Govitrikar, who is the first and only Indian woman to have received the title.
After winning the Gladrags Mega Model Contest in 1996, she began her modeling career and got her start in acting when she starred in Thammudu (1999), a box office smash. She went on to star in several films, including Paheli (2005), which was India’s official submission to the 79th Academy Awards, and De Dana Dan (2009), which earned an award at the International Indian Film Academy Award.
She also starred in several super hit music videos, including Adnan Sami and Asha Bhosle’s Kabhi to Nazar Milao (1997) and Jagjit Singh’s Aaeena (2000). In 2020, she hosted the Zee Zest show Mother’s Care.
She recently completed a postgraduate course in counseling at Tata Institute of Social Sciences and an IGNOU master’s degree in psychology. She is pursuing a second master’s degree in psychology at Harvard University.
