We have always loved Emraan Hashmi from his charming looks in Murder and Zeher to his villainous character in Tiger 3. He is back in a character like never before with Showtime. Here is what director Mihir Desai has to say about casting Emraan Hashmi in the series

Talking about the casting, Mihir Desai said, “Working with Emraan Hashmi was an incredible experience. His smile can be charming, confident, maybe even have a hint of mischief. But then, in an emotional scene, all you see are his eyes, and suddenly you’re a rollercoaster. You can hate him, you can love him, all in a few seconds. That’s the magic of Emraan. And that’s exactly what we needed for Raghu Khanna in ‘Showtime’ – a brash, foul-mouthed producer who is ready to bare his soul. He’s confident, short-tempered, a bit misunderstood. Who better to play him than someone who can walk that line between charming and chaotic? Our script needed a producer to be the hero, and Emraan delivers. Think back to his days in ‘Jannat’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ – that iconic energy, but with a contemporary filmmaking tone that we’ve tried to bring. It’s not a comeback, it’s an ‘Emraan-aissance’ as I like to call it! Get ready to see a whole new side of Emraan on Showtime.”

Showtime will be releasing on 8th March, 2024, only on Disney+ Hotstar
