Since its premiere in June, 365 DNI, also known as 365 Days in the English language version of Netflix, has been a popular film. It’s so spicy that it’s garnered comparisons to Fifty Shades of Grey while also persuading some viewers that the sex scenes are authentic.
Several Twitter users were baffled by the sex scenes’ cinematography and can’t figure out how some of the most intense pictures of Massimo and Laura (Michele Morrone and Anna-Maria Sieklucka) were captured without appearing to be pornographic. Maleni Evelyn Ramos, a Twitter user, made one such remark.
Barbara Biaows and Tomasz Mandes directed 365 Days, a 2020 Polish sensual romantic drama film. It is based on Blanka Lipiska’s first novel of a trilogy. The story follows a young woman from Warsaw who falls in love with a domineering Sicilian man who imprisons her and forces her to fall in love with him for 365 days. Don Massimo Torricelli is played by Michele Morrone, while Laura Biel is played by Anna-Maria Sieklucka.
Despite its success, the film garnered overwhelmingly poor reviews from critics, who chastised it for its alleged glorification of the Mafia and heavy use of sex sequences with sexual violence, bringing analogies to the Fifty Shades trilogy. Two sequels are in the works.
The majority of the film’s scenes were shot in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, and Niepoomice) and Italy (Sanremo). On February 7, 2020, 365 Days was launched in Poland, generating $9 million. The film had a limited theatrical release in the United Kingdom on 14 February 2020, grossing $494,181, before airing on Netflix in June 2020.
