Is Bollywood more popular than K-pop?

    0

Bollywood has had an impact on every Indian in some way, yet times change, and people change as well. With songs reaching a million views in hours and Korean terms being added to the Official English Dictionary, I don’t think we need any more proof of how K-pop is taking over the business and the world.

When it comes to India, the K-effect is having a rapid impact on the population. Bollywood has always influenced Indian culture, dress, society, and a variety of other factors, but now it’s K-pop’s turn.

    BTS

BTS, or Bangtan Boys, are largely to blame for India’s K-pop craze, or, as one K-pop idol, Jackson Wang, described it, ‘BTS paved the route.’ They most definitely did.

People of all ages have begun to follow this big boy band, which is well-known around the world, not only the young of this country. The passion and support for BTS are so strong that it has brought individuals together to form the A.R.M.Y. fanbase.

As a result, the Bollywood entertainment industry has taken a hit. Many attempts have been made in India to cope with the K-pop craze by mimicking Korean films and writing songs with K-pop-style rhythms and beats.

Furthermore, the idea that their favorite Kpop singers’ songs were being plagiarised did not impress them, deepening their affinity with their favorite groups. K-pop is spreading like a virus in India, yet it isn’t causing them any harm.

From having a prejudice toward various groups to learning the Korean language, the changes are not subtle at all. Teenagers had a different view of their ideal or celebrity crush back then, but nowadays, almost everything centers around their bias as a member of a particular group.

Indian celebrities, as well as the common population, have expressed their admiration for K-pop idols. The event has included A.R. Rahman, Disha Patani, Ayushmann Khurrana, and a bevy of other superstars.
