Donal Bisht Shares Thoughts on Music Day: “Love for music has grown after training in Kathak”

On the occasion of World Music Day, actress Donal Bisht opened up about her unique relationship with music, sharing how music plays a big role in her daily life, especially when she’s feeling active or creative.

She says, “If I want to workout, perform high-intensity tasks or even just getting ready, I do want music. And sometimes of course for just dancing it out—dance until I sweat. I also love creating my own choreography, and even dance to timeless romantic as well as item songs in my bedroom mirror (laughs)”.

Donal also shared that her love for music has grown after training in Kathak and Bollywood dance over the past 1.5 years. “I’m very, very fortunate that I got that time in my life to learn multiple things – things I always wanted to, but never got time owing to my busy schedules”.

However the actress also shared how for her, silence can be just as powerful as a melody. She shares, “Sometimes I do not want music at all, sometimes I love to spend time in silence with no disturbances around me. I love silence and I think it gives you room to think. Sometimes I want me-time, nothing playing”.

Her journey with music reflects how it’s not always about sound—it’s also about self-discovery.

Donal, popular for her impeccable performance in the web show “Tu Zakhm Hai”, has also shot for an International film produced by Bona Film Group & directed by Andrew Lau, the director of famous film Infernal Affairs & many more. Apart from acting, Donal has been the face of several brands and is fondly remembered as a Santoor girl!
