While having an exclusive conversation, Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently opened up about casting Boman Irani and Jackie Shroff in his directorial project ‘Tanvi The Great’, and his response was as heartfelt as it was honest: “Mujhe unki zarurat thi.”
When asked whether their casting was a result of his brotherhood or a creative decision, Kher shared that it stemmed from both personal need and professional trust.
“As I was directing and acting in the film, I needed my friends and great artists to be present with me,” Kher revealed in a candid moment. He went on to recall how during the shoot, he would often turn to Boman Irani and ask, “Main sahi toh kar raha hoon na?” a humble acknowledgment of how even the most seasoned artists seek validation when navigating new creative roles.
