Madelyn Renee Cline, an American actress, and model was born on December 21, 1997, and is best known for her portrayal as Sarah Cameron in the Netflix drama series Outer Banks.
Cline worked on television ads in New York City during her early summers, some for T-Mobile and Sunny D. She landed little roles like Chloe in Boy Erased and Taylor Watts in Vice Principals quite quickly. She also had minor appearances in Stranger Things and The Originals.
Cline was cast as Sarah Cameron in Outer Banks in 2018, with the first season premiering on April 15, 2020. The show received positive reviews and a second season, which premiered in July 2021, and was considered her breakout role. Cline and Chase Stokes participated in the music video for Kygo and Donna Summer’s single “Hot Stuff” in September 2021. She joined the cast of Knives Out 2 in June 2021 after signing on for the sequel.
Cline was raised in Goose Creek, South Carolina, near Charleston, by her parents, real estate salesperson Pam and engineer Mark. She briefly attended college before dropping out and relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
She declared her romance with her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes in June 2020. The pair announced their separation in October 2021.
