It’s no secret that K-pop can be intense and cutthroat at times. As if the rigorous training and hard schedules weren’t enough, these heroes must also maintain a polished public image at all times. Fans of KPOP place a high value on keeping a clean public image, and idols who fail to meet these standards are scolded and reviled for no apparent reason.
As unpleasant as it may sound, encountering hatred becomes unavoidable as your fame develops. Some idols, on the other hand, have been witch-hunted to the extent where even a strand of hair on the head has been scrutinized.
In the past, idols have been reprimanded for engaging in the most fundamental human activities that most of us take for granted. Here is a list of celebrities who are despised for the most ridiculous of reasons:
Kai is a member of Exo
Kai is one of the best dancers in the K-pop industry, so, strangely, he’s been chastised for being “cocky” and “rude” on stage. His connection with F(Krystaland )’s Blackpink’s Jennie infuriated the critics to no end, especially since dating appears to be a crime among K-pop singers.
Daniel Kang
Kang Daniel previously belonged to the Wanna One group, which has since disbanded. As the most well-known member, he was punished for garnering too much attention. As ludicrous as that may seem, it doesn’t end there.
Blackpink’s Jennie
Jennie’s position at the top of the list comes as no surprise. Throughout her career, Jennie has been chastised for anything from “slow dancing” to “dating scandals.” She was labeled “YG’s princess” for acquiring the prettiest costumes during promotions, and she was chastised for having a sour attitude merely because she has a straight face.
She was involved in a love saga with Kai from Exo in 2019 and, most recently, Bigbang’s G-dragon, prompting critics to accuse her of dating too much.
Maknae line of BTS
Jimin, V, and Jungkook are three of the most well-known musicians worldwide, not just in South Korea. Although the exact source of their enormous hostility remains unknown, netizens accuse them of diverting all focus away from the Hyung line. They’re being scolded for their popularity!
