Elliot Page, originally Ellen Page, is a Canadian actress and producer, born on February 21, 1987. He has garnered numerous awards. Page rose to prominence after appearing in the television series Pit Pony (1997–2000), for which he was nominated for a Young Artist Award, as well as recurring appearances in Trailer Park Boys (2002) and ReGenesis (2004).
Juno is a coming-of-age comedy-drama movie directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody that was released in 2007. Elliot Page plays the titular role, a self-assured adolescent who is confronted with an unanticipated pregnancy and the events that follow, which place adult life expectations on her.
Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney, and J. K. Simmons are also featured in the movie. Filming covered from early February to March 2007 in Vancouver, British Columbia. One made back its $6.5 million budget in just twenty days, the first nineteen of which were spent in limited distribution. It went on to gross $231 million globally. Juno was well-received by critics, with several included it in their top-ten lists for the year. Members of both the anti-abortion and pro-abortion sectors have criticized and praised it for its treatment of abortion.
