Anees Bazmee was entrusted with the sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani will star in the film. Tabu has been cast as a character who is possessed by a ghost. The shooting began in early 2020 but was called off in the middle due to the pandemic-induced lockdown.
In March 2021, the filmmakers attempted to reshoot Manali and Mumbai. Before it was held up again, significant portions of the film were shot. Following the second wave of Covid-19, Kartik tested positive, which resulted in another halt from the film.
According to reports, the filmmakers have been permitted to shoot. This week, the crew is putting out a schedule. In Mumbai, the remaining portions of the film will be completed in a single schedule. To maintain continuity, the cast and crew may be required to travel to Lucknow for a short time. The film is almost finished, and the last scenes will be shot all at once.
Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani wrapped up the shoot last year. Unlike its predecessor, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is being marketed as a true horror-comedy. Bhool Bhulaiya was a psychological thriller with comedic overtones. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 recreates two songs from the Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan film. The film is set to release on March 25, 2022.
