Since the release of Spiderman: Far From Home by Marvel Studios, the world has been anticipating the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new Disney+ programs WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki all premiered this year.
Between major Marvel Studios movies and WandaVision’s release in early 2021, there was a 20-month hiatus, the longest in the MCU’s 12-year run of films. However, MCU scarcity is no longer an issue. In the coming years, a number of Marvel programs and feature films will be released. This is the place to go if you want to refresh your memory now that Marvel’s ‘Phase Four’ has begun.
Everything is listed here in chronological sequence, but if you want to change it up, there are different viewing options at the end of this guide. Sorry, comic book fans: this guide is only for individuals who want to see Marvel films and TV shows in chronological order.
It begins in 1942, many years before the events of Iron Man. We’re just showcasing the Marvel feature films and the new Disney+ programs within this major chronological sequence. To go along with it, we’ve created a couple of other lists.
Captain America is the fifth Marvel Studios film, following Iron Man, The Hulk, and Thor, all of which had their own films before Captain America. This is the first film on our list since the events took place first — during World War II. Chris Evans’ super-soldier is born, and we see his first encounter with Hydra and its ruler Red Skull.
