What does Blackpink say about Chaelisa?

Rosé recently released her debut solo album R, which features the operatic title song On The Ground and the quiet, heartbreaking tune Gone. Rosé’s solo debut was met with a thunderous ovation from Blackpink fans all around the world. On The Ground garnered 3,262,615 streams in the first 24 hours after its release.

It’s the first time a solo K-pop artist has taken home the award. She also performed on SBS’s Inkigayo, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. Someone special, however, sent Rosé flowers and a lovely card with a touching message.

The one who started it was Lisa, a Blackpink maknae, and a fellow 97-liner within-group. On Instagram, Rosé captioned a selfie of herself and Lisa, “Look who came through today.” Although Lisa’s face was obscured, BLINKS recognized her and added ChaeLisa and adoring emoticons to Rosé’s comments. For those who don’t know, Rosé’s Korean name is Park Chaeyoung.

Today, we’re revisiting one of the most significant scenes from Blackpink’s documentary, Light Up The Sky, in which Rosé and Lisa open up about their first impressions of each other. Lisa recalled seeing Rosé as a competition, to which Rosé remarked that she was truly afraid by everyone’s intellect!

Lisa added in a voice-over that she and Rosé hit it off right away because they were the same age and same interests. Because they were from different countries, they also relied on one another in difficult situations.

“We began to look like two peas in a pod.” “We were a pair of identical twins.” Lisa expressed her love for Rosé, telling her that she is like a sister to her. Cheers to ChaeLisa and their unbreakable bond.
