Salman Khan’s Radhe is released on which platform?

For Salman Khan supporters, it’s been a two-year wait. After the disaster that was Bharat and a mediocre Dabangg 3 in 2019, Bollywood’s ‘Bhai’ had to succumb to the pandemic in 2020 and put his films on hold. For his fans, it was a dry Eid that year. Salman Khan, on the other hand, was sure that he would not let his fans down this year.

On Eid, Zee 5 released the much-anticipated Radhe on the OTT platform. It has all of the hallmark Khan ingredients: Prabhu Deva is directing it; Sohail Khan, Atul Agnihotri, and Bhai himself are producing it; it is based on another successful South Korean film, The Outlaws; Sajid-Wajid and Himesh Reshammiya are singing chartbusters; and, of course, Disha Patani, who is half his age.

For Khan, Radhe has been a cursed endeavor. It was intended to be released at Eid last year, but because of the pandemic, it was postponed. Things started to look good this year, with new theatres opening and many jurisdictions allowing 100 percent occupancy.

The happiness was fleeting. The second, and worse, wave of the coronavirus prompted them to consider an OTT release. However, it appears that the crew was in for more.

The brilliant team Sajid-Wajid, Wajid Khan died to Covid. “Sajid’s brother, best friend, and business partner were all killed. It was a rude awakening for all of us. However, his songs are still alive, and he has provided us with a wealth of material. “I believe he was one of the most talented people who never received his due,” adds the actor, who is known for working with people he gets along with. Radhe, for example, will be the filmmaker Prabhu Deva’s third film.
